So last night 12.1 million viewers tuned in for the season 6 premiere of Lost. This is the final season of Lost and anticipation is building. The producers have said the conclusion will be a shocking finale. If you asked 100 people what lost is about you’d probably get 100 different answers. At first glance I thought it was just about a bunch of people stuck on an island due to a plane crash. Then elements of mystery, fate, love, destiny, horror and even sci-fy were added.
Lost used Easter Eggs like no other show before or after it. In case you’re not familiar with the term, Easter eggs are hidden content intentionally inserted by the creators. The creators of Lost inserted them into the show, set up web sites for companies and foundations in reference to the show, ran “commercials” for these companies and foundations. The more I dug the more information I found, but what does it all mean?
There are Lost podcasts, blogs, and even Lostpedia-The Lost Encyclopedia, which frankly viewers need at this point to keep track of all the information being thrown at them and as a handy reference.
The creators of Lost have alot of unanswered questions to address. I mean, this will be 6 Seasons of my life, that I’ve spent watching the show. What’s Lost about? After watching 5 Seasons, I don’t know…but I know next Tuesday I’m going to be watching it.
