The Earth’s axis shifted again this week, not because of aftershocks from earthquakes but from two surprising announcements in the world of fashion. Two different celebrities, Madonna and Amy Winehouse both announced they are designing their own clothing line.
Madonna announced that she and her 13 year old daughter Lourdes will design a line of clothes for Juniors called Material Girl for Macys, which will be available in August 2010. Well, even though Madonna’s 52, she still dresses like a Junior, so maybe it’ll be alright. The collection will retail for between $12 and $40. It’s rumored that the line may be expanded later for Women along with the introduction of fragrances.
In a unrelated bit of news Amy Winehouse is working with Fred Perry to create a retro-inspired collection. The collection will be out in October. Amy’s clothing line will wholesale between $32 and $150. The cloths are said to be mainly pink and black. And remember kids -crack is whack!
