Werewolves and Vampires, Oh my!

There is so much entertainment in the paranormal werewolf/vampire genre for this summer. It’s really alot of information for fans to track. The Vampire Diaries just ended their first season leaving me wanting more. The finale took place at the Founder’s Day Celebration in Mystic Falls, leaving Anna dead. Season 2 will begin in the fall, I can’t wait. The True Blood Season 2 dvd and soundtrack came out on May 25th, giving everyone who hadn’t seen Season 2 a chance to catch up before Season 3 airs on HBO June 13th. Season 3 will introduce Alcide the werewolf character played by Joe Manganiello. The Sookie Stackhouse Book 10-Dead in the Family came out in May 2010. I have it but I haven’t read it yet, it’s on my reading list, so I’m trying to avoid any reviews of the book so I won’t hear any spoilers. The book Death’s Excellent Vacation will be released in August 2010 and included in this book of short stories is a new, never before published Sookie Stackhouse short story by Charlaine Harris. A new show is coming to ABC-The Gates which involves a gated community of vampires or as the tag promo says A Neighborhood With Bite. The Gates series premiere is on June 20th. ABC has had a habit lately of introducing a new show the cancelling it before anyone really gets into it, for example Eastwick, as well as Happy Town. I hope The Gates is decent and that ABC gives it a chance. Coming on June 5 is the Stephanie Meyer novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. The Eclipse Soundtrack release date is set for June 8th but the set list has been released and is on the official Eclipse movie site, it includes Beck w/ Bat for Lashes, Metric, Sia and of course, Muse. Eclipse will be released on June 30th and I’ve already heard about many midnight showings of the movie as well as some theatre’s having an event beginning that evening with Twilight, followed by New Moon, then Eclipse at Midnight. So mark your calendars fans, it’s gonna be a great summer!
