Wine Review- Hobnob Merlot 2006

Region: South France

This is a good basic solid merlot with hints of blackberry and a smooth texture. We had it with sirloin tips with brown gravy and veggies. It’s relatively inexpensive and it’s a good choice when you just want a decent red table wine.

Imported from France

Cost $8.99

I hope everyone has some great week-end outdoor plans!

I recently tried the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon and can report that it was also good. Dark and jammy but smooth. Nice finish, light tannins.

    Cheers!
