With fall just around the corner it’s time to start thinking about packing up the shorts and flip flops and unpacking the cords and boots. The economy is still on a downturn, we’re still at war, unemployment is still high and all-in-all, the future looks kinda bleak or should I say black and I think that’s reflected in pre-fall and the 2010-2011 fall/winter collections. Black is once again the “it’ color everywhere, it’s not just for New York this year, we are all gonna be back in black. The old standard is back, bigger than ever. Any shade of black, or grey is gonna look super sharp this season. The first pic up top is Frankie Morello’s collection described as A Black Magic, as you can see the models are in different shades of black from head to toe. The middle pic is from the pre-fall Ralph Lauren Black Label Collection. Not quite able to give up the fall tans and browns, Ralph Lauren accessorizes a longer grey dress with a tan bag. The third pic are boots by Burberry. Once again we see black featured on tall military and short stilettos. Tall and short boots, stiletto heels to Dr. Martins are in abundance for the fall/winter season.
Top trends for the 2010-2011 Fall/Winter Season include shades of black/grey, military styled jackets, longer hemlines, tights in black/grey, black boots of basically any style.
