Shelton Vineyards Estate Cabernet Franc 2007

Region: North Carolina, Yadkin Valley

Yay, a local red wine which is really good from Shelton Vineyards. We tried this at the vineyard and bought a couple of bottles, but I think, no I know that I’m gonna order a case of this for the cellar . At home we had this wine with penne pasta and we enjoyed it immensely. It has light tannins, is very red in color and low acid, with a rich flavor. This particular wine has won the 2009 Wines of the South Competition Bronze Medal and the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition Gold Medal.

Cost is $13.99 and you can order it online straight from the vineyard site and get a 10% discount on case purchases and free shipping.

Enjoy your weekend and keep tasting!
