Cupcake Vineyards Blanc de Blancs

Type: Sparkling Wine
Varietal: Chardonnay
Region: Imported from France

This was a really good sparkling wine which we opened to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Champagne is technically only grown in the Champagne Region of France, which is why other champagne type wines grown in other areas of the world are labelled as sparkling wine. It had the taste of apples and notes of a slight tartness. We had it with appetizers and shrimp cocktails. It was really good with the shrimp and the back label suggested serving it with scallops or a baked fish.

Rating: 3 out of 5
Cost: $16.00
