Ever now and then I like to share what I’m reading and what I plan to read, so here goes. I’m currently reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest. In the future I hope to read the following (in no particular order):
1.Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
I must say I’ve been intrigued by this book since it came out and I’d like to read it before I see the movie.
2.The Girl Who Chased the Moon & The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen
After reading her first novel Garden Spells, I want to read everything that Sarah Addison Allen writes. On a sidenote she’s a local author and lives in Asheville, NC.
3.The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection by L. Frank Baum
I had no idea (until recently) that there are actually 15 stories written by L. Frank Baum about Oz. Being fascinated by The Wizard of Oz for many years, they are a “must read”.
4.The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland & Through The Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
I’ve never read this and I’ve always wanted to, but just never got around to it.
5.A Houseboat On Styx by John Kendrick Bangs
Published in 1895. The premise is a group of deceased famous people all stuck for eternity on a houseboat on the river styx.
6.The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman
An Amazon Editor’s Pick which looked interesting.
7.Soul Catcher by Leigh Bridger aka. Deborah Smith
After reading several of Deborah Smith’s books and enjoying them all of a sudden she starts writing urban fantasy books under another name. To top it off, this story is set in Asheville with a gothic backdrop, the Appalachian wilderness and has Cherokee mythology woven into it. It takes place in my backyard and I can’t wait to read this one!
8.Judas Island by Kathryn R.Wall
This is book four in the Bay Tanner Mystery Series. The series is a mystery series which takes place in Savannah and Hilton Head, where Kathryn R. Wall actually lives. I recently began reading the series and I like it alot. There are ten books in the series.
So many books, so little time…
