HRM Rex Goliath Chardonnay

Vintage: 2008

Region: California

I would categorize this as a recession wine due to the low cost. It’s an okay Chardonnay which got better as the meal progressed, so I think I should of let the bottle breathe a bit longer before serving. I picked this wine up at WalMart today and served it with pork loin and pasta salad. It had a crisp tropical taste with notes of pineapple and vanilla. I would say it would be a great wine for hot summer nights.

Rating: I rated this wine 3 out of 5 stars.

Cost: I paid $5.97 for this bottle at WalMart.
