What I’m Reading or Hope To Read in The Near Future

Those of you who personally know me, know I’m always reading. I thought it was time for another segment of what I’m reading or planning to read in the near future.

1. I’m currently reading Little Bee by Chris Cleave.
It’s good so far, I’m on approx the 4th chapter. So far, there are alot of sad but true observations on our small world.

2. Incendiary by Chris Cleave.
I started to read this book before Little Bee but decided I would read Little Bee first.

3. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
It’s set in a library which includes witches, vampires and demons. Nuff said.

4. Soul Catcher by Leigh Bridger aka. Deborah Smith
After reading several of Deborah Smith’s books and enjoying them all of a sudden she starts writing urban fantasy books under another name. To top it off, this story is set in Asheville with a gothic backdrop, the Appalachian wilderness and has Cherokee mythology woven into it. It takes place in my backyard and I can’t wait to read this one!

5. Judas Island by Kathryn R.Wall
This is book four in the Bay Tanner Mystery Series. The series is a mystery series which takes place in Savannah and Hilton Head, where Kathryn R. Wall actually lives. I recently began reading the series and I like it alot. There are ten books in the series.

6. World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie Wars by Max Brooks.
Written by the son of Mel Brooks, good reviews, zombies, special amazon e-book price…why not?

7. The Hollows Series by Kim Harrison.
With a 9th book coming out in March I still have several books to go before I catch up. I’ve read the first two and just downloaded the third, Every Which Way But Dead to my Kindle.

8. The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen.
Her fourth book. She’s a local author and I’ve loved the other three books she’s written. They’re not a series by are all lovely magical Southern stories.

Other titles which interest me and I may end up reading The Paris Wife about the first wife of Ernest Hemingway, The Weird Sisters, The Trylle Trilogy and who knows what else… If you’ve read something really good lately drop me a line and leave me a suggestion, either here or on Facebook as I’m always looking for a new good read.
