Western NC Autumn Foliage

So my second favorite season, only bested by Summer, is here, it’s Autumn in Western NC. We’ve had a very dry Summer so predictions say colors will be very bright with lots of red. Leaves are just beginning to turn and are expected to reach their peak Early to mid October. I can’t wait to take to the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469 mile National Scenic Byway, which has land on both sides maintained by the forest service and mountain views which go on seemingly forever. Our weather is getting cooler, with high’s in the 70’s now during the day and dropping into the 50’s at night.
