I first saw this idea on Pinterest. I ordered some cheap clearance fabric for $1.50 a 1/2 yard in three varities and cut them up into strips measuring approximately 2 1/2 x 9″. I then took a wire hanger and bent into a rough circle. It doesn’t have to be perfect, once the fabric strips are tied on, you can’t tell if it’s not. I then tied double knots with alternating fabric onto the wire hanger, wrapped fabric onto the “hanger part” and instant rag wreath. It’s pretty durable, inexpensive to make, and looks interesting and colorful hanging on the front door. Score another one for Pinterest!
