Spring Makeup

When Seasons change I always think about new makeup for the Season. With thoughts of Spring and Easter on their way I went to Sephora the other day, which is always a bad sign. I can’t leave without buying several things, I’m like a kid in a candy shop in that store.

One of my all time favorite eye shadows is Urban Decay’s Naked palette so I was drawn to the Basics palette ever since I first saw it. I think it’s such a good everyday shadow. urban decay naked basics

Then I saw Urban Decay’s two palettes themed for the Oz the Great and Powerful movie. I love the packaging on these products. One was named The Theodora Palette featuring some darker browns and red colors. The other, The Glinda Palette is the one I settled on. It features lighter colors with a high shine nude lip gloss.urban decay glinda

Next I picked up a nail polish by Illamasqua which looks like the speckled eggs at Easter. To quote Illamasqua “The speckled bird-egg effect is a bespoke touch inspired by the beauty of imperfection found in nature”. I really like all the colors it came in, Tan, Blue, Pink, Green and Lilac. I finally ended up choosing the lilac which will look great with a patent lilac Dooney & Bourke bag I have.speckeled nail varnish

Of course, I had lots of Beauty Insider Bonus points so I ended up using 100 of those for a deluxe sample of Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara. I always use points for mascara, I haven’t bought mascara in years, come to think of it since I began shopping at Sephora.dior iconic overcurl mascara

Last but not least I got several samples and a fragrance sample bag which had samples of five fragrances.
